Kamal Kharrazi: It is not consistent with our revolutionary and Iranian spirit to bow down to the excesses and tyranny of others.
In response to a question about the bipolarity created between those in favor and those opposed to negotiations, Kharrazi emphasized: “Conditions for negotiations must be created. Negotiations cannot be held in a state of tyranny because negotiations in such conditions would mean surrender.”
Stating that conditions for real negotiations must first be created, he continued: “We are not running away from negotiations; because we have negotiated many times before, but it is not consistent with our revolutionary and Iranian spirit to bow down to the excesses and tyranny of others.”
The head of the Strategic Council for Foreign Relations stated: “We must resist so that they do not come forward with tyranny, pressure, and sanctions, but rather on the basis of equality and mutual respect, and the necessary conditions for negotiations are created.”
