Bagheri: Cooperation with Tajikistan to combat terrorism is on the agenda

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces said in a meeting with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan: "Interaction and cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries is at its highest level and is constantly growing and developing."

According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, Maj. Gen. Imam Ali Saberzadeh, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan, who has traveled to Tehran, met and talked with Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, at the head of a high-ranking military delegation at the General Staff of the Armed Forces, this afternoon.

In this meeting, which was held in line with the development of defense relations between the two countries, Maj. Gen. Bagheri congratulated and wished success to Maj. Gen. Saberzadeh as the new Minister of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan and stated: Currently, interaction and cooperation between the two armed forces is at its highest level and is constantly growing and developing.

Maj. Gen. Bagheri, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the level of relations between the two countries in various sectors, stated: Cultural, historical, religious and political commonalities can create a suitable platform for interaction between the armed forces of the two countries.

The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, expressing readiness to increase cooperation in the defense and military fields, emphasized the development of training exchanges and cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

In this meeting, Major General Saberzadeh, while congratulating the Army Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran, described the Iranian Armed Forces as powerful and efficient and described Iran's defense industry as very advanced in the region and the world.
