The president said: "The war we are engaged in today is more difficult than the 8-year war because there they openly fired bombs and missiles at the country, but in the economic war, the enemy is trying to pit us against each other."
According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, on Tuesday evening, at a meeting of the assembly of representatives of the provinces of Golestan, Mazandaran, and Gilan, Masoud Pezzekian stated that the complaints and problems you raised are causing us pain, and stated: The problems of society and the people are causing us distress, and on the other hand, external pressures are increasing every day; We have made every effort to manage the situation and overcome the problems, and we have tried to make work-oriented decisions with the consensus and support of all other parts of the system, but these days, while we need cohesion and empathy more than ever, some are trying to blame the Minister of Economy.
The President, pointing out that I vowed never to lie, added: We have tried to benefit from all capable people solely based on their merits, regardless of their orientation, ethnicity, and gender, but some are only looking to start fights and exacerbate differences. I appreciate the support and empathy of all officials and sectors of the system, but I ask those who are fueling disputes whether the problems we are facing today have arisen recently or are the result of the same divisiveness and disputes that have prevented the resolution of the problems.
Pezizian once again emphasized the importance of consensus and empathy among all officials to successfully overcome the current difficult circumstances and added: Will the current problems be solved by impeaching the Minister of Economy?
The President continued by stating that the government is seeking to help people with their livelihood problems and that on this basis the necessary resources have been provided for the distribution of two phases of food stamps before Nowruz, and he clarified: The enemy is seeking to pit us against each other by increasing pressure and exploiting the situation itself, so we should not play in their court.
Pointing out that the government is pursuing the delegation of powers to governors within the framework of facilitating the use of the capacities of the provinces, especially in border areas, to help resolve problems, Pezizkian said: "Based on this plan, the governors will list the powers they need and, under the supervision of the Vice President for Legal Affairs, will consult with ministries and executive agencies to determine their executive structure; the powers of the governors will increase within the framework of strategies to achieve the goals of the vision document and the country's general and macro policies, and delegating more powers does not mean that everyone can do whatever they want.
Stating that the provinces have great capacities and that with proper and planned use of these capacities, much can be done to resolve the country's problems, the President noted: The claim that the government is seeking federalism is not at all correct; the government is seeking to provide the ground for field managers to play a more effective role in resolving problems by granting them the necessary powers."
In another part of his speech, Pezizkian pointed out that he personally and continuously and systematically follows up on development and investment plans in various sectors, including the construction of power plants, the development of roads and railways, and the enhancement of other economic capacities of the country. He stated: The border provinces of the country have unique opportunities that local managers both know better and are better able to implement. Therefore, we are coordinating with the government's macro-management to implement development and investment plans after delegating the necessary authorities, and with the field management of provincial officials to follow them more quickly and seriously. The President continued by stating that providing livelihoods, medical care, and housing for the people, as well as the movement to transform the country's education system and improve the country's road and rail transportation infrastructure, are among the government's work priorities, and clarified: We also ask the parliamentarians to assist the government in implementing the program to delegate authorities to governors to increase the maneuverability and action of field managers in solving the country's problems. We should not fall into the trap of the enemies by fueling differences.
Pezizian said: The war we are engaged in today is more difficult than the 8-year war because there they openly fired bombs and missiles at the country, but in the economic war the enemy is trying to pit us against each other and exploit these differences to achieve its goals.
