Emphasizing that Iran, based on the decree of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, has never sought to build nuclear weapons, the President said: "We consider any tension, unrest, and conflict to be detrimental to ourselves, the region, and the world, and our principled policy is based on de-escalating tensions and creating unity in the region."
According to Ashura News, citing Tasnim, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezzekian and Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Storte discussed bilateral and multilateral issues and relations between the two countries in a telephone conversation this afternoon - Sunday.
In this telephone conversation, Pezzekian referred to the good relations between Iran and Norway as well as the areas of cooperation between the two countries on regional and international issues and appreciated Norway's efforts to establish peace in the region.
The President continued by reviewing the current developments and sensitive conditions in the region and the world, stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been the guardian of peace, stability and security in the region and has prevented any war and conflict as much as possible, adding: "Unfortunately, the Zionist regime, as the main cause of tension and crisis in the region, in addition to inciting war and committing crimes and genocide against the oppressed people of Palestine, is trying to portray the peaceful nuclear activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran as a cause of insecurity by fabricating lies."

In this telephone conversation, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Storte also congratulated the Iranian government and people on the holy month of Ramadan and expressed his satisfaction with the continuation of contacts and meetings between the high officials of the two countries, adding: In the first meeting with Your Excellency on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, it became clear that during our period of activity and responsibility, we have also been ministers of health in our countries at times, and these commonalities can inspire our future discussions, and we are interested in continuing cordial relations between the two countries.
The Norwegian Prime Minister also emphasized that his country welcomes the peaceful resolution of issues in the region and is ready to provide any assistance and support in this regard.
