The Russian president called the resumption of his country's relations with the United States difficult and said that in order to implement the ceasefire, Ukraine must order its army to surrender at Kursk.
According to Ashura News, citing Mehr News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in a statement that he had been informed of US President Donald Trump's call to show mercy to Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region.
He continued: "If Ukrainian soldiers in this region lay down their weapons, we will guarantee their safety and treat them well."
Pointing out that it is difficult to resume relations between Russia and the United States, Putin stated that the Trump administration will make every effort to restore at least some of the relations with Russia.
The Russian President stated that in order to implement Trump's request, Ukrainian authorities must order their army to surrender in Kursk.
