The German ambassador and the British chargé d'affaires in Tehran were summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to Ashura News, citing ISNA, following the anti-Iranian actions and approach of the UK and Germany in the Human Rights Council and the submission of a draft resolution by these two countries to extend the mission of the so-called fact-finding mission, the German ambassador and the British chargé d’affaires in Tehran were summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Ms. Foruzandeh Vadieti, Director General for Women and Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Director General for Women and Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed to them the strong protest of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the irresponsible and provocative approach of these two countries.
Vadieti, in a meeting with the German ambassador, pointed out the history of Germany sending chemical weapons to the Saddam regime during the imposed war for use against the Iranian people, and condemned the use of the Human Rights Council as a tool and the abuse of human rights in order to put pressure on the Iranian people.
He also called the British chargé d’affaires in Tehran on Wednesday, coinciding with the nationalization of Iran’s oil industry, unconstructive, referring to the long history of the British government’s interventionist policies in Iran’s internal affairs and its anti-Iranian approaches in the Human Rights Council. He stressed that this approach discredits the UN-affiliated human rights institutions and destroys countries’ trust in these institutions.
The Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Office for Women and Human Rights, referring to the support of Germany and the UK for the Zionist regime’s war crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people, as well as their support for the unilateral US sanctions against the Iranian people, emphasized that these countries are not in a position to claim to defend human rights.
He also referred to the British Foreign Secretary's statements in the country's parliament, pointing to the numerous records of European countries violating their commitments, including in the JCPOA and accompanying the maximum pressure policy and the cruel US sanctions against the Iranian people, and reminded the British side that Iran's nuclear program has always been peaceful and is under the strict and unprecedented supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and that repeating baseless accusations based on political goals does not change the facts.
The German ambassador and the British chargé d'affaires stated that they would relay the matter to their capitals.
