The President said at a meeting to implement the Family Physician and Referral System Plan: "We are seeking to make the government sector of the health system more efficient, with the aim of creating satisfaction for medical staff and the public."
According to Ashura News, citing Tasnim, a meeting on the Family Physician and Referral System Plan within the framework of the country's healthcare network system was held this Tuesday morning with the presence of Masoud Pezhskian, and the requirements and preparations for implementing this plan were discussed and reviewed.
In this meeting, the President stated that our goal in implementing the Family Physician and Referral System Plan is to make the government sector of the health system more efficient with the aim of creating greater satisfaction among the medical staff and the people, adding: "The 14th government has put the implementation of the Family Physician and Referral System Plan on the agenda in order to organize the provision of services in the health system, and the first step in implementing this plan is to upgrade and complete existing facilities and equipment and create satisfaction among doctors and medical staff to provide desirable services to the people."
Pezshkian continued by stating that the implementation of this plan will be carried out gradually by forming a national headquarters and five executive committees, including the Program, Resources and Financial Affairs Committee, Guidelines and Procedures and Accountability Committee, and stated: "We will not only not compete with the private sector in the Family Physician and Referral System Plan, but we are also willing to support and address their shortcomings by providing good and quality services, and the people will not be forced to use this plan."
The President continued by stating that preventing unnecessary visits or prescribing medications for patients, which is costly for both the people and the health system, is among the advantages of implementing the Family Physician and Referral System Plan, and said: "We will also use artificial intelligence in implementing this plan, which in addition to reducing costs, will accelerate the provision of health and medical services and prevent unnecessary trips by patients to find the medical centers they need."
"Appointing governors and governors as heads of the operations room of the family doctor project," "emphasizing the necessity of creating and using electronic health records," and "taking advantage of successful global experiences in the field of health and treatment by using prominent international consultants in implementing this plan" were among other important points and recommendations made by Dr. Pezzekian in this meeting.
** I hope we can make people see the improvement in the field of education and health with their own eyes
The 19th meeting of the "High Council for Health and Food Security" was also held this Tuesday afternoon, chaired by Masoud Pezzekian.
At the beginning of his speech at this meeting, Pezzekian said about the discussions related to the draft resolution of "National Priority Strategies for Physical and Mental Injuries and Consequences of Traffic Accidents": Issues related to education and health are a priority for the 14th government. These issues are pursued beyond factional issues and political tendencies, and the goal is to improve service delivery to the people and protect their health. I hope that with the help of the people and the efforts of my colleagues in the 14th government, we will do something that people will see with their own eyes in the fields of education and health.
The President referred to efforts to reduce accidents and the resulting casualties and damages and stated: The goal is to have no road accidents at all, and if, God forbid, something happens, we can provide the best possible service to the injured.
Regarding the inclusion of educational materials related to traffic health and safety in the education system, the President emphasized: In this regard, it is necessary to benefit from the experiences of other countries. First, we must identify and prepare the necessary content, and then design solutions for including it in the curriculum.
Emphasizing the need to implement stricter deterrent laws to prevent risky driving, Pezizian noted: "The actions of someone who behaves in an unusual and risky manner while driving can be considered involuntary manslaughter, because it endangers the lives of others, and therefore deterrent regulations should be such that this person is not allowed to drive. Of course, to promote safe driving on the roads, institutions such as education, the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation, and mosques can effectively promote and advertise safe driving. In addition to strict regulations for risky drivers, an incentive system should also be considered for drivers who drive safely."
Emphasizing the need to establish an organization to monitor the performance of institutions and organizations and their duties in the direction of safe driving and preventing accidents, the President stated: It should be explained to the public through platforms such as the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation that the strict measures against high-risk drivers are because we do not want them to endanger the lives of other people with their behavior, in addition to harming themselves and their families. Of course, these drivers must be treated with the utmost respect, and while respecting their rights, they must be told that they do not have the right to drive and that if their vehicle is impounded on the road according to regulations, their families and passengers must be taken to their destination.
Regarding the "No to Accidents" campaign, the doctors clarified: This campaign is also pursued beyond political factions and tendencies; we just do not want the violations of someone who drives high-risk to harm others. We do not want to mistreat these drivers either, but they must realize that their actions pose a threat to the lives of others and we must not allow this to happen.
Emphasizing the need to promote a culture of safe and healthy driving in society, the President noted: In today's society, no one will accept that someone endangers the lives of others by dangerous driving and that the law remains silent against him.
Continuing the meeting, regarding the draft resolution announcing the list of goods in Section C of Article 26 of the Value Added Tax Law, approved in 1400, regarding goods harmful to health, Pezizian emphasized, in light of the statements of the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade regarding the existing limitations in the field of tax reform in this sector: It is necessary to conduct further studies in this regard to determine the solutions for tax reform for producers of harmful goods. These industries must pay more taxes, because they must bear the costs that the health system pays for the consumption of these manufacturers' goods. However, given the conditions mentioned, this issue needs to be further examined. Perhaps the problem can be solved by reforming production lines and other measures.
In this meeting, the draft of the "National Priority Strategies for Managing Physical and Mental Injuries and Consequences of Traffic Accidents" was approved, and the approval of the draft of the "List of Goods Subject to Clause "P" of Article 26 of the Value Added Tax Law of 1400" was also postponed to the next meeting for further consideration.
In the meeting of the Supreme Council for Health and Food Security, the ministers of "Health, Treatment and Medical Education", "Country", "Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare", "Sports and Youth", "Industry, Mining and Trade", "Agricultural Jihad" and "Education" and the head of the "Environmental Protection Organization", the deputy head of the "Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy of the Presidency", the head of the "National Standards Organization", as well as the heads of the traffic police, the Red Crescent and the country's emergency services were present and presented their points of view.
