The producer of the "Mohafil" program, referring to the characteristics of this program and its visibility in regional countries, stated that "Mohafil" is an effective cultural movement in the Islamic world.
According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Hossein Hashemi Golpayegani, the producer of the program "Mohafel" about the effort that was made for this season of the program and made it the most watched TV program during the holy month of Ramadan, said: "Mohafel" seeks to remove the Quran from its ceremonial format and turn it into a living dialogue in people's lives, and we tried to show this approach in the program. On the other hand, this high-quality program in all aspects, including decor, image, sound and light, complied with production standards and with such a combination tried to present the best to its audience.
Referring to the behind-the-scenes team for research and study of this program, he stated: All subjects were selected with a precise scenario, professional direction and review to create appropriate feedback at the international level.
Emphasis on the concept of resistance and symbolic elements
Referring to the resistance of the helpless people of Gaza and Lebanon, the producer stated: This year, with the concept of "resistance" in the Quran as the centerpiece, we emphasized this issue in the design of the decor, the subjects of discussion, and the selection of guests. For example, the element of Jerusalem was used and guests related to the field of resistance, Palestine, Lebanon, and other countries were invited.
He considered this approach to be effective in foreign guests as well, adding: Inviting figures related to the resistance on a global level has been accompanied by difficulties, but we tried to bring guests from Indonesia and other countries to the program despite the limitations. Today, Iran, as a country that is receiving special attention, needs to focus more on this area.
Jerusalem; the main axis
The producer of "Mehafel" stated: Jerusalem, as the most important issue in the Islamic world, is always at the center of the program's attention. We believe that addressing this issue is the Achilles' heel of realizing Quranic and revolutionary ideals.
Hashemi continued by emphasizing the pivotal position of Quds in the Islamic world and added: Quds today is the scene of the battle of infidelity and polytheism, a front that on one side is freedom, Islam, resistance and humanity, and on the other side stands Satan, oppression, compromise and hypocrisy. This border line is the same holy line of Quds. This battle is not only on the battlefield, but also in the cultural arena. Just as warriors fight on the battlefield, we are also present on this cultural front with the “Mehafel” program and we have clearly seen its effects.
Hashemi mentioned about the judging and expert section of the program: In the judging section, we have adopted a new procedure. In addition to the regular judges, special international guests were invited from countries such as Egypt, England and Afghanistan to have a more diverse composition of the judging panel. These people are selected according to their mastery of religious concepts and personality traits (young or middle-aged) in order to form a complete and dynamic panel.
He pointed to the cooperation of institutions in the formation of this program and stated: With the support of institutions such as the Islamic Propaganda Organization, Tehran Municipality, Endowment Organization, and Relief Committee, more than 3,000 subjects have been examined. This year, the “Mohafel” secretariat has enriched the program with an annual approach and added new sections such as podcasts summarizing topics, special nightly recitations, and discussions on the stories of the prophets.
Making field documentaries
Hashemi added: We examined 15 stories of the prophets by producing animations, podcasts, and field documentaries. For example, for the story of Prophet Noah’s Ark or Gog and Magog, documentaries have been filmed in relevant locations. These sections are designed with the aim of going beyond a superficial look at Quranic stories and transforming them into practical content for everyday life.
He referred to the holding of the "Mehfil" in Syria and said: "After holding this program, Hezbollah forces sent us a message that this ceremony was the first and last cultural program after the clashes in the shrine of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH). This program became the largest Shiite gathering in history. Even the families of displaced people affiliated with Hezbollah attended the shrine of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH), and this event strengthened their morale.
Reflection in the region and changing attitudes
Hashemi discussed the impact of the program in the region and explained: "In various parts of the region, audiences have watched the "Mehfil". Previously, some in the countries of the region claimed that Shiites were alien to the Quran, but after the program was broadcast, they saw how young people recite the Quran and the atmosphere of the program introduced them to this atmosphere."
Referring to the expansion of Quranic programs in countries such as Iraq, he said: "Today, the "Mehfil" has reached the first place among similar programs in these countries. This position was achieved based on viewership statistics and its impact in the countries of the region. These achievements show that “Mohafil” is not only a television program, but also an influential cultural movement in the Islamic world.
“Mohafil” is a product of the Nahzat Media Arts Center, the third season of which was broadcast on the 3Sima network in Ramadan 1403-1404.
