According to Ashura News, citing Mehr News Agency, on the eve of International Quds Day, a press conference titled “Quds Day, Solidarity with Palestine” was held on Tuesday, April 25, by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Cultural Consultative Partnership of our country in the Russian Federation.

In this meeting, which was hosted by the Russia Today media group (Russia Today), our country’s Ambassador Kazem Jalali considered the plan to expel the people of Gaza a claim and said in this regard: This plan cannot be implemented because the Palestinian people, who have been fighting for 80 years, will not allow this plan to be realized.

He then emphasized the importance of solidarity with the Palestinian people on International Quds Day, while the Zionist regime’s crimes in the occupied territories have continued for more than a year and a half. He added: “It was the occupation that shaped the resistance in the region, and the West’s claim that the groups are proxies for Iran is being made with the aim of erasing the issue. As the Supreme Leader stated in recent statements, the term used as proxy groups is completely wrong and shows the anger of the Zionist regime and its supporters.”

He continued: “One day they accuse us of supporting Shiite groups, and the next day they say Hamas is a proxy group of Iran. Hamas was formed because of the occupation and crimes. If America and Europe want the resistance to disappear, the way is not to accuse Iran, nor to eliminate citizens of the resistance movement. The way is to eliminate oppression.”

Jalali said: The crimes of the Zionist regime with the support of the United States have gone beyond the limit and we are witnessing a phenomenon of apartheid in Palestine. The fact that they are proposing a plan to expel the people of Gaza is also a rare phenomenon, and in this regard, Islamic governments should know that the nature of the Zionist regime is excessive, and one should not imagine that one can live in peace with this regime.

The Palestinian ambassador to Russia, rejecting Trump's plan to forcibly evict the people of Gaza, also said: We will continue to be present in our lands and there is not a single Palestinian who wants to leave his land. In response to a question from a Sputnik reporter about Trump's plan to expel the Palestinians from Gaza, the Iranian ambassador to Russia emphasized once again that this is nothing more than a slogan and claim, and said: Both the Arab world, the Islamic world, and human societies are against such a measure, and the people of Palestine and Gaza are not so helpless and weak that anyone can expel them from their land.

He added: The people of Gaza have been experiencing the most severe inhuman crimes of the Zionists for more than a year and a half. But did anyone hear a protest from Gaza? This is a sign of the peak of resistance among these people; if there was even the slightest protest among these people, the Western media would have widely reported it in the world.

In response to a Russian journalist’s question about Russia’s role in resolving the Palestinian issues, the Iranian ambassador to Russia said: Russia is a country that is related to this region, and our principled position is that the issues of our region should be resolved by the countries of the region, not by extra-regional powers.

He continued: We consider Russia’s role very important and we always welcome Russia’s role. We also found Russia’s positions to be logical and benevolent. Russia has always tried to bring together the different Palestinian groups and have them solve the issue collectively by setting aside their differences, which is a constructive and acceptable position.

Jalali also referred to the current oppression of the people of Gaza as the greatest oppression in history and said: "About a thousand statements and resolutions were issued by the United Nations over the past 80 years, but they did not solve the problem of these people." He added: "When a nation is stripped of all its dignity and identity, it sees no other way but to resist, stand firm, and confront itself."

Our country's ambassador said: "We think that the path can be open to solving the problem, provided that we rely on our human conscience to move towards justice and fight against oppression."

Continuing the press conference, Palestinian Ambassador to Moscow Abdul Hafez Nawaf said: Palestine is the origin of the heavenly religions of Islam and other religions, and the world should seek to solve the root of the problem in Palestine.

He added: In this holy place, the Zionist regime is publicly massacring women and children, but who wants to protest and take action against these blatant criminal acts?

The Palestinian Ambassador to Russia, rejecting Trump's plan to forcibly relocate the people of Gaza, also said: We will continue to be present in our lands, and there is not a single Palestinian who wants to be separated from his land.

The representative of the Russian Orthodox Church also stated at the meeting that he was attending the meeting on behalf of the Archbishop of the Orthodox Church, and said about the developments in the land of Palestine: Patriarch Kirill has repeatedly stated that this land has great historical, religious, and civilizational importance, and therefore, he has invited everyone to establish peace.

Sergei Alexandrovich Nesterov added: The Orthodox Church in Jerusalem has a consistent policy that civilians should not be attacked by military personnel, and all such attacks, as well as the destruction of religious centers, must be condemned; we have always stated this position.

Stating that the Russian Orthodox Church is following the developments in Palestine and Israel with concern, he called on everyone to establish order and peace.

The representative of the Russian Orthodox Church added: The common enemy of all of us is evil and sin that seeks to destroy humanity.
