The trilateral meeting between Iran, Russia, and China, which was held with the presence of the deputy foreign ministers of the three countries to discuss the nuclear issue and the lifting of sanctions, ended with the issuance of a joint statement.
According to Ashura News, quoting ISNA, Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Minister of Legal and International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated regarding the meeting: Various issues were emphasized in the meeting, including:
- The need to end illegal unilateral sanctions;
- Emphasis on diplomatic solutions and dialogue to resolve issues;
- The need to abandon the policy of imposing sanctions, pressure, and the threat of resorting to force;
- The need to pay attention to the root causes of the current situation, especially the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA and the failure to implement the commitments of the three European countries;
- Emphasis on the importance of Resolution 2231 and its timetables, especially ending the Iranian nuclear issue in the Security Council in October 2025;
- Emphasis on the need for other parties to refrain from taking any action that would worsen the situation;
- Emphasis on the need for other parties to refrain from any action that would undermine the technical, objective, and impartial work of the Agency;
- The decision to continue consultations, cooperation and coordination between the three countries on this issue and other issues of common interest;
- The decision to strengthen cooperation and coordination in international organizations and multilateral arrangements such as Shanghai and BRICS;
- Emphasizing that any negotiations and talks will only focus on the nuclear issue and the lifting of sanctions;
According to this report, the deputy foreign ministers of the three countries also met and held talks with Mr. Wang Yi, Foreign Minister of China, after the trilateral meeting.
