According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, on Thursday evening, in a telephone conversation with Mr. "Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud", Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, while congratulating him, the King and the people of his country on Eid al-Fitr, Masoud Pezshkian considered the holy month of Ramadan an opportunity to remember the commonalities of Muslims, including the Quran and the rituals of this holy month, and stated: Islamic countries can, by relying on these commonalities and strengthening unity and cohesion among themselves, ensure peace, security and progress at the highest level for themselves and the region.

The President stated that if Muslims join hands, they can prevent oppression and crimes against some Islamic countries, including Palestine and the people of Gaza, and added: I am confident that Islamic countries, by working together, can bring security and prosperity to the region in the best possible way.

Appreciating the words and views of the Saudi Crown Prince on cooperation and solidarity among Muslim and neighboring countries in the region, Pezizian stated: As you said in your speech, if Islamic countries join hands, they can stop the crimes of the Zionist regime against the oppressed people of Gaza, establish stability and peace, and strive for the greatest prosperity of the region.

Referring to another part of the Saudi Crown Prince’s speech, the President said: The Islamic Republic of Iran has never sought war or conflict, and the non-peaceful use of nuclear energy has no place in our security and defense doctrine. It is possible that the nuclear activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be fully verified, as in all previous years. The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to engage and negotiate in order to resolve some tensions, based on mutual interests and respect. We are not at war with any country, but we have no hesitation in defending ourselves, and our readiness and capability in this regard are at the highest level.

In this telephone conversation, the Saudi Crown Prince also exchanged Eid al-Fitr greetings to the President and the people of our country and appreciated Dr. Pezhikian's approaches and positions in strengthening solidarity among Muslim countries, stating: "I hope that we can achieve more achievements in the field of stability, security, and prosperity for the region by continuing the process of strengthening cooperation between us."
