Masoud Pezzekian, in a ruling, dismissed Shahram Dabiri from his position as parliamentary deputy, referring to the confirmation of news regarding his trip.
According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, Masoud Pezzekian stated in a ruling addressed to Shahram Dabiri: "In these days, after reviewing the news, it was determined that you were on a recreational trip to the South Pole during Nowruz. In a government that is proud to follow the example of the pious master and in a situation where economic pressures on the people are still high and the deprived are numerous in our country, the expensive recreational trip of official officials, even at personal expense, is not defensible and justifiable, and is not consistent with the standard of simple living of officials.
The text of the presidential ruling is as follows;
Dear Mr. Dr. Dabiri
In these days, after reviewing the news, it was determined that you were on a recreational trip to the South Pole during Nowruz. In a government that is proud to follow the example of the pious master and in a situation where economic pressures on the people are still high and the deprived are numerous in our country, the expensive recreational trip of official officials, even at personal expense, is not defensible and justifiable, and is not consistent with the standard of simple living of officials.
Your long-standing friendship, cooperation, and valuable services in the parliamentary deputyship of the 14th government do not prevent us from prioritizing honesty, justice, and the promises we made to the people. Therefore, we apologize for continuing to cooperate with you in the 14th government.
