The US Treasury Department announced today the imposition of new sanctions against Iran.
According to Ashura News, citing Mehr News Agency, the US Treasury Department announced new sanctions on Iran on Wednesday.
A statement issued by the US Treasury Department said: Today, the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has targeted six entities based in Hong Kong and the People’s Republic of China (PRC) for sanctions; entities that are involved in the supply of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) parts on behalf of the Iranian company “Pishtazan Kavosh Gostar Boshra” (PKGB).
This is despite the fact that, according to the US Treasury Department, the Iranian company “Pishtazan Kavosh Gostar Boshra” had previously been sanctioned by the US.
The US Treasury Department claimed that today’s action “supports the US President’s maximum pressure campaign on Iran” and could undermine the supply of drone parts!
This is despite the fact that, according to American officials, Trump's maximum pressure campaign against Iran during his first term as president ended in failure.
