The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that our country has been included among the top countries producing radiopharmaceuticals.
According to Ashura News, quoted by Tasnim, Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization, wrote on his personal page: “In the past year, all efforts made in the country’s nuclear industry complex were focused on developing and utilizing various aspects of nuclear technology to serve the people and make it effective in society.”
He added that fortunately, a special focus on moving at the frontier of knowledge and achieving the goals set in accordance with the comprehensive strategic document for the nuclear industry in the horizon of 1420 has outlined the main framework for the activities of the various centers and departments of the Atomic Energy Organization in a purposeful and integrated manner.
Eslami noted that in this path, important areas include accelerating the construction of nuclear power plants; launching irradiation systems to help agriculture; flourishing the mining economy; utilizing plasma technology to treat cancer, as well as producing radiopharmaceuticals needed by society, which has placed Iran among the top producing countries. It is part of the honors of the proud children of Iran that our young scientists have achieved.
