During his visit to the Science and Technology Park of Imam Hussein (AS) University, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces emphasized the continuation of the rapid and serious movement in science and technology.
According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, along with Brigadier General Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC, and a number of deputies to the Armed Forces General Staff, visited the Underground Technology Campus complex, and during this visit, managers of some companies located in the Science and Technology Park of Imam Hussein University expressed their opinions and views.
During this visit, Major General Bagheri listed the most important mission of the Islamic Republic’s sovereignty in the armed forces as the defense and security of the country, and stated: If we do not have sustainable defense and security, naturally other activities of the country will become shaky and uncertain on the path of progress. Every activity that countries plan, write the horizon, and follow requires that defense and security be established. The IRGC, the Army and the Security Command, the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces, and the valuable Basij all assume this grave responsibility in an interconnected complex with the blessing of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
He said: Since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, the country has been under siege by sanctions in all aspects, including science and technology, and in these circumstances, it has managed insecurities, and has advanced the imposed war and the security of the country.
Major General Bagheri noted: In such circumstances of sanctions pressure and numerous bottlenecks and threats, the position of science and technology, of which Imam Hussein University is among the leaders in this field, naturally becomes very important. We spent days in the Sacred Defense when we had problems with basic needs, and in other words, they did not even provide the country with barbed wire, and these young scientists were the ones who started research and brought the country to this scientific rank.
Stating that the rapid movement in science and technology should continue with seriousness, Major General Bagheri said: With a faithful and believing human resource and the wisdom of a wise leadership, we have come to the conclusion that we must be faster in science and technology. When we look back, we see many advances, but compared to the growth of technology in the world, we must be faster.
He stated: The General Staff of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the Imam Hussein University, is a leading complex in the field of knowledge. Efforts should be increased in this complex and, with intelligence and prudence and considering all aspects, it should strengthen the strong tree of the Islamic Revolution.
Referring to the system of the country's issues, he stated: How to understand the country's issues well and put effort into them is an important issue. The Deputy of Science and Research of the General Staff has been created for this purpose. Yesterday, a meeting was held in the President's Office and the first meeting of the Quantum Council was held. In this meeting, the Honorable President stated that the armed forces have high capabilities and the government will not spare any support in this regard.
Referring to the imbalances in the country, Major General Bagheri emphasized: The imbalances consist of 100 issues from different sciences and fields, and scientific centers must enter to resolve the problem of imbalances.
The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces noted: "The country's managers should visit scientific achievements so that they can understand the capabilities of the youth and the mechanisms should be streamlined so that we can move towards production and the country's movement can accelerate. In this path, facilitating knowledge-based companies and the entry of the private sector are among the main steps. Knowledge-based companies, which are non-governmental institutions, will definitely strengthen this ecosystem."
