According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, said at the end of his official visit to the Republic of Armenia: I had a one-day visit to Armenia; Armenia is a very good and close neighbor of ours, and there are historical, cultural and close ties between us. The level of relations between the two countries is now very good and high. Political exchanges between us are at high levels and the relations are very diverse. We have started very good cooperation in the economic fields. Also, in cultural discussions and political positions, we have very close and common political positions, especially on regional issues.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs said: The aim of this visit was to increase cooperation and expand contacts between the two countries. A good review of relations was held. I had meetings with the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the Parliament, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs; naturally, we had very detailed meetings and good negotiations were held. I see great potential in the relations between the two countries. The volume of our trade relations reached one billion dollars last year, and this bodes well for us to be able to use the existing capacities even more. There is a lot of latent capacities.

Araghchi added: Our regional policies regarding the Caucasus are quite clear. We want stability, peace and security in this region. Preserving internationally recognized borders and preserving the territorial integrity of all countries in the region and the independence of countries is important to us, and we will continue this policy.
