According to Ashura News, citing Mehr news agency, Ayatollah Mohammad Taqi Bahjat Foumani was born in late 1334 AH in a religious family in the religious city of Fouman, Gilan province. He completed his primary education at the Fouman school, and then began studying religious sciences in the same city. After completing his initial religious education in the city of Fouman, in 1348 AH, when he was almost 14 years old, he traveled to Iraq and settled in Karbala.

Ayatollah Bahjat benefited from the presence of great teachers such as Ayatollahs: Agha Seyyed Abul Hasan Isfahani, Agha Zia Iraqi, and Mirza Naeini and Hajj Sheikh Mohammad Hussein Gharavi Isfahani during his time on the surface and outside. While studying and before reaching puberty, he devoted himself to refining his soul, and in Karbala, he studied with a teacher and moral instructor, and he came to know Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Agha Qazi, who was in Najaf, and became one of his students.

One of the relatives of Ayatollah Behjat (RA) says that I asked him what should we do on the night of Qadr?

He recited that famous poem:

O Khwaja Cho Joy, you will appreciate the grace of God

Every night is a night of appreciation if you appreciate it

They were really like that and had devotional programs and nightlife every night; that is why his other nights were almost no different from his Nights of Power. Of course, on the Nights of Power, he would also perform special acts of worship on that night.

It is also stated in the book In the Presence of Bahjat: Ayatollah Bahjat used to say: Some scholars ensured the future of their children by recommending the early morning or night prayers.
