The first joint missile operation between the Army Navy and the IRGC Aerospace Force was carried out in continuation of the Zolfaqar exercise of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, destroying a naval unit target.
According to Ashura News, citing Mehr News Agency, the Iranian Navy and the IRGC Aerospace Force, in a joint operation under the command of the Zolfaqar Headquarters, succeeded in destroying a simulated target in the northern Indian Ocean by firing naval and ballistic cruise missiles, completely sinking it.
Brigadier General Alireza Sheikh, spokesman for the Zolfaqar 1403 joint exercise of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, said in this regard: This morning, the Iranian Navy’s missile launcher fired a cruise missile to destroy a naval target in the waters of the northern Indian Ocean.
He added: At the same time, during a joint operation under the command of the Zolfaqar Headquarters, a ballistic missile from the IRGC Aerospace Force hit the same target, completely sinking it.
Brigadier General Sheikh considered the implementation of this operation a tangible and true symbol of "permanent security under the shadow of unity and authority" and emphasized: The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as the powerful arms and stronghold of the noble and great nation of Islamic Iran, have shown as one united hand that they will respond to any threat with authority, and today, one of the aspects of this unity, empathy, and synergy was manifested in the context of the implementation of joint missile operations between the Army's naval forces and the IRGC's aerospace forces.
