The head of the country's emergency organization announced that 2,466 people were injured and 15 died on Wednesday in the country this year.
According to Ashura News, quoted by ISNA, Jafar Miadfar said in further explanation: Since the beginning of this morning, 2,466 people have been injured, of which 2,410 were taken to the hospital, bringing the total number of injured to 3,276.
He added: Unfortunately, 9 people died in these incidents today, bringing the total number of deaths to 15.
The head of the country's emergency organization continued: In today's incidents, 115 people suffered amputations, 720 people suffered eye injuries, and 700 people suffered burns.
Miadfar said: In total, 1,040 cases of burns, 933 cases of eye injuries, and 172 cases of amputations were recorded in the incidents of Chaharshanbeh Suri.
He added that most of the incidents occurred in Tehran, West Azerbaijan, and East Azerbaijan provinces.
The head of the country's emergency organization stated that 6 ambulances were also damaged in tonight's incidents and were out of operation.
