The Executive Vice President announced the launch of a plan to replace 27,000 worn-out taxis and motorcycles with motorcycles and electric and hybrid-fuel vehicles in metropolitan cities, with priority given to Tehran.
According to Ashura News, citing ISNA, Mohammad Jafar Ghaempanah wrote on his X social media account:
"A survey of Tehrani citizens before President Pezizkian's visit showed that air pollution is the capital's number one problem.
To begin with, starting Thursday, a plan to replace 27,000 worn-out taxis and motorcycles with motorcycles and electric and hybrid-fuel vehicles in metropolitan areas was launched, with Tehran as a priority."
