Condolences from the Supreme Quran Council on the passing of Professor Abai

The Supreme Quran Council issued a message of condolences on the passing of Professor Abdul Rasul Abai.

According to Ashura News, citing Mehr News Agency, the Supreme Quran Council offered condolences to our country’s Quranic pioneer, Professor Abai, in a message. The text of this message is as follows:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return

Professor Abdul Rasool Abai, our country’s Quranic pioneer, passed away after a lifetime of dedicated activity and service to the holy site of the Holy Quran.

This late Quranic scholar served as the head of the jury of Iran’s international Quran competitions for many years.

He also participated in international Quran competitions in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Syria, and… as a judge and head of the jury.

In addition to his activities in the field of Quranic competitions, this distinguished Quranic figure was also a member of the Research Council of the Holy Quran Printing and Publishing Center, a member of the expert meetings of the Supreme Quran Council, and a lecturer and faculty member of the Faculty of Hadith Sciences.

Among his works and compositions are the book Tajweed (published by Allama Askari Scientific Society, compiled and arranged by Islamic seminary books) and Al-Waqf and Beginning; Darasteh and Al-Tatabiq (master's thesis).

The broadcast of the Quran teaching sessions of the late Aba'i on the national media in the sixties and seventies has become immortal in the minds of Quran lovers.

The Supreme Quran Council expresses its condolences to the Quranic community of the country, his esteemed family, students and enthusiasts for the loss of this prominent figure and great teacher of the Quran, and asks God to grant him the highest ranks.
