According to Ashura News, citing the Red Crescent Society's website, Seyyed Ali Marashi said: Today and tomorrow, the National Physical Fitness Medical Commission is being held in Tehran to address the objections of applicants whose ability to perform Hajj in 1404 has not been confirmed.

Marashi added: The medical commission has been formed to examine the physical condition of pilgrims who were diagnosed as physically unfit for Hajj in the initial medical examinations in the provinces and this diagnosis has also been confirmed in the provincial commissions.

He said: Pilgrims who, in the opinion of the provincial commission, have objections can participate in this national commission to have their status re-examined.

According to the head of the Red Crescent Society's Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center, out of a total of 440 pilgrims who were examined by doctors and denied physical fitness, 388 were also rejected by the provincial commissions, and the physical condition of the remaining pilgrims has been confirmed for Hajj. These 388 people will be examined by specialized medical teams including internal medicine, cardiology, orthopedics and psychiatry in a national specialized commission, and if the provincial commission's opinion is also approved by this commission, these pilgrims will be exempted from this year's Hajj pilgrimage. However, if their physical condition is determined to be suitable for the Hajj pilgrimage, they can participate in this year's Hajj.

Marashi emphasized: This year, in addition to certain diseases that have prevented the Hajj pilgrimage in previous years, dialysis patients have also been added to this list. Therefore, people with active cancer, advanced neurological and mental diseases, advanced heart disease, liver cirrhosis, and pregnant women, according to the Saudi government, will not be allowed to participate in this year's Hajj.
