Tehran's interim Friday prayer leader said: "Today, the leaders of the United States are threatening in action and demanding negotiations in speech; these two behaviors are completely contradictory."
According to Ashura News, quoted by Tasnim, Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Mohammad Hassan Abu Torabifard, the interim Imam of Tehran, in the religious-political prayer sermons this week in the capital, which were delivered at the Imam Khomeini (RA) prayer hall, during his speech on the water shortage crisis in the country and the capital, emphasizing the need to reform the consumption pattern, stated: If Tehranians decide to save water consumption today, we will not face a problem in this regard.
Abu Torabifard continued by stating that today those who have occupied Palestine are a symbol of arrogance, and noted: Today, the world sees arrogance and exaggeration with the behavior of the US President. Even European and Western countries are experiencing this bullying. The Islamic community is at the peak of dignity and power against the exaggerators and against the infidel front.
He said: Today, the leaders of the United States threaten in action and demand negotiations in speech; These two behaviors are completely contradictory. The Islamic world is dear and united against arrogance. This resistance against enemies and also empathy between believers is a command of the Holy Quran and the character of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), both of which should be taken into consideration.
The Friday preacher in Tehran stated: Today, Iraq, Palestine, Yemen and Lebanon are symbols of resistance against arrogance; this front is resistant and is the fruit of the great movement of the great Iranian nation.
Abu Torabi Fard also referred to the statements of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution about the attention of officials to economic issues and stated: Economic power today and tomorrow is the most important factor of the country's authority; this power will not be achievable without efforts and efforts based on science.
Referring to the joint exercise of the Iranian, Russian and Chinese naval forces, he stated: This exercise was successfully held in the northern Indian Ocean in an area of 17,000 square kilometers for four days at the peak of authority; The Eurasia Times reported that Iran’s holding of the 2025 Maritime Security Belt exercise strengthens the country’s role as a key maritime player in the region and demonstrates Tehran’s influence beyond its borders. The presence of Russia and China shows their determination to protect their interests in a region that was previously dominated by Western powers.
The interim Friday prayer leader in Tehran continued: CNN viewed the exercise as a demonstration of the growing partnership between Tehran, Moscow and Beijing, as well as a countermeasure against Western maritime initiatives. The exercise was held with the aim of improving maritime security in the northern Indian Ocean, increasing the level of cooperation, training skills, and transferring military experience and trust between the participating forces, and increasing joint defense capabilities.
Regarding the upcoming Nowruz trips, Abu Torabi Fard pointed out the high number of road accidents and noted: Traffic accidents are one of the country’s problems, and the number of fatalities and injuries is also shocking; These accidents have a profound impact on the economic, social and demographic structure. We appreciate the traffic police, which is carrying out its mission and covering the traffic routes with about 29,000 personnel around the clock. The Ministry of Health also has many efforts in this area that we appreciate.
He added: About 20,000 people lose their lives in these accidents every year; this is a high figure. In 1402, about 1.1 million people were admitted to the emergency room due to traffic accidents, and 3,000 people suffered spinal cord injuries. 83 percent of the fatalities are under 50 years old, and half of these fatalities are under 30 years old. In a country that suffers from an aging population, this is very important. About 1,089 people also died in Nowruz 1403. Respected drivers should increase the level of accuracy in driving as much as they can. According to the Faraja report, 10 percent of drivers are accident-causing, and this rate is also high and should be reduced.
Tehran’s interim Friday prayer leader, listing the four factors of low quality of vehicles, lack of deterrent laws, lack of the necessary and desirable quality of roads and paths, and driver errors in accidents, stated: The traffic police believe that the parliamentarians should, in the shortest possible time, enact deterrent laws to prevent 10 percent of drivers from causing accidents for the country. From the police’s perspective, laws are not deterrents. The government, which is determined to reduce accidents, should consider improving smart monitoring. It is also necessary to improve the automotive industry in the country. Improving high-risk areas on the roads can also be a fundamental step in reducing this statistic.
Appreciating the Tehran Municipality's performance report in his speeches before Zakani's sermon, Abu Torabifard stated: "One of the important points in increasing social capital is the services that municipalities provide, and the more disciplined and better quality these services are, the more likely it is for citizens to be satisfied. Public transportation also plays an important role in increasing people's satisfaction."
