Tehran Province traveled to Pakdasht, Qarchak, Varamin, and Pishva counties with a delegation.

Being present among the people, visiting the field of development projects, and being directly informed about the problems are among the goals that the President pursues in his trips to different parts of the country.

The President began his trip to the southeastern counties of Tehran Province from Qarchak County and arrived in Qarchak County around noon yesterday.

In the first step of his trip to the southeast of Tehran Province, Masoud Peshkian visited Qarchak Industrial Park and visited various departments of "Dogam Leather" Company and "Jahan Orum Ayaz Textile Company" and learned about the details of their activities.

The average shoe production in this company is 250 pairs and its production capacity is 1,500 pairs per day. Jahan Orum Ayaz Textile Company was also established in 2018, with the efforts of a group of entrepreneurs and private sector investment, in the field of producing upholstery and curtain fabrics.

During this period, Jahan Arum Ayaz Company has created direct employment for 1,200 people and indirect employment for 10,000 people. In addition to meeting a large part of the country’s needs in furniture and curtain fabrics, the company also exports its products to other countries. With the completion of the second phase of the company, 1,500 new job opportunities will be created.

During the President’s visit to two production units in the Qarchak Industrial Park and examining their issues and problems, the director of a large company producing upholstery and curtain fabrics, while expressing the problems of the textile industry, called for serious government measures to support domestic production.

Ali Hemmati, the director of this large company producing upholstery and curtain fabrics, referred to the negative effects of the weak exchange rate on the textile industry and noted that this year, $850 million of the weak exchange rate was allocated for upholstery fabrics and other textile products produced domestically. This issue created a rent and encouraged traders to import.

After visiting the Qarchak Industrial Park and chatting with workers and producers, Masoud Pezzekian led the noon prayer in congregation among the workers.
