According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, Abbas Ali Kadkhodaei, the head of the International Conference on the Rights of the Nation and Legitimate Freedoms in the Intellectual System of His Holiness Ayatollah Khamenei (may Allah have mercy on him), who was speaking at a meeting with the president and senior managers of the Islamic Azad University in the central organization of this university, thanked Tehranchi, the president of the Islamic Azad University, for providing the basis for holding this meeting, and added: The Islamic Revolution of Iran led by Imam Khomeini (may Allah have mercy on him) was more than anything a cultural revolution that had its roots in Islamic thoughts and was different from other revolutions. As an Islamic thinker, Imam Khomeini (may Allah have mercy on him) led the Islamic movement by theorizing a modern Islamic state in the form of the Velayat al-Faqih (the Guardianship of the Jurisprudent), which achieved victory in 1979 with the efforts and sacrifices of the people. He continued: Thanks to the blessings of the people's struggles and sacrifices and with the help of great people like Shahid Beheshti, we reached the constitution after the victory of the revolution. The Iranian constitution is progressive and different from other Islamic laws, with its introduction talking about freedom and emphasizing that the Islamic government is not class-based and its goal is not to gain power, but rather to guide the people and society based on the teachings of Islam.

Kadkhodaei stated that in the early days of the Islamic Revolution, intellectual discussions took place in society and there was a great enthusiasm and desire to explain theoretical issues, and said: "This event faded in the following years and with the beginning of executive work, and it was forgotten that our revolution was a cultural revolution and proposed a new theory in the Islamic government. In this regard, the Islamic Azad University, with its national scientific groups and subject faculties in the field of intellectual studies and theory-building, can do very well.

The head of the Guardian Council Research Institute stated that every society that claims to have a theory also has its theorists, and said: There have been many theorists in our country, including Martyr Motahari, Martyr Beheshti, and Martyr Mofateh, and they have made unremitting efforts. Although the enemy did not recognize their presence, we still had very good achievements, and today, thank God, the Supreme Leader (Supreme Leader) still exists as a very prominent theorist in the country.

Kadkhodaei emphasized: Today, we hear more from the Supreme Leader (Supreme Leader) about the administration and management of the country, and his theorizing and thinking have remained hidden, especially for the younger generation, and we have not been able to introduce him to the scientific community for this reason. Therefore, it is necessary for us to present, explain, and introduce his theoretical aspects in universities and scientific centers in an appropriate manner.

Stating that usually when freedom is discussed, all eyes are on the West, he said: "This is because Western propaganda agencies have done well in this field and, despite their anti-human view, they claim freedom and consider themselves to be claimants of human rights. This is while we have been having these discussions since the time of the Prophet's mission, and it is our duty to be able to introduce intellectual discussions to a good society and in this field to introduce pure Islamic thinkers and Islamic elders, including the Supreme Leader, to the young society and the Western society. The Supreme Leader is not a mere thinker, but a thinker who is also responsible for the macro-management of society in the field of implementation."

The chairman of the International Conference on the Rights of the Nation and Legitimate Freedoms in the Intellectual System of His Eminence Ayatollah Khamenei (may Allah protect him) continued to explain the necessity of holding this conference and said: Re-examining the position of freedom as one of the basic slogans in the formation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the progressive approach of the Supreme Leader on the issue of freedom in the field of opinion as a theorist, and the necessity of re-examining and his practical approach in protecting and guaranteeing the rights of the nation and legitimate freedoms as the Supreme Leader are among the necessities of holding this conference.

Kadkhodaei continued: The three main axes of the conference include the concept, foundations and frameworks of the rights of the nation and legitimate freedoms in the Islamic Republic of Iran system and its comparison with other legal systems, the mechanisms and requirements for ensuring and guaranteeing the rights of the nation and legitimate freedoms, and the achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran system in the field of the rights of the nation and legitimate freedoms.

In the following session, the attendees commented on the topic of the conference and also made suggestions for holding the conference better.
