Stating that we are ready to reach an agreement with the United States within the specified framework and while preserving national interests, the President said: "As the Leader of the Revolution said, we are neither optimistic nor pessimistic."
According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, in the second meeting of governors across the country with the President, which was held in 1404 at the Ministry of Interior, Masoud Pezkian raised three main axes: "removing energy imbalance", "developing educational justice", and "people's livelihood" as priorities for the 13th government, and by providing recommendations and guidelines, he urged the governors to achieve sustainable, balanced, and long-term development for their provinces through principled and creative management.
Pezshkian stated in this meeting that the future of the country depends on our decisions and vision, and said: "With the efforts and efforts made by you, the governors, we hope to build a powerful, prosperous, and full of goodness Iran. Your role is very important. If the country is reformed, it will be reformed by us and you, and if it encounters problems, it will be due to our decisions and performance."
Emphasizing the efficient management of provincial resources, the President added: Your concern should be to make the best use of the provincial capacities and choose the best solution for balanced and sustainable development from among the possible paths; rather than wasting resources with wrong choices.
Pzshkian also noted: Provincial development plans should be “managerial, ambitious, and sustainable.”
The President then addressed the issue of educational justice and, referring to the importance of nurturing the next generation, said: The young and adolescent generation is the country’s capital. It should be planned in such a way that behavior, thinking, teamwork, capability, and problem-solving are institutionalized in them.
Pzshkian added: A generation should be nurtured that will be the leader of the region. The type of education we have today will create tomorrow’s generation; although the importance of this issue may not be felt now, future generations will understand it well.
Emphasizing the importance of education in line with global standards, the President stated: Building schools and eliminating deprivation of educational spaces is important, but it is not enough. We need schools that provide education in line with global standards.
Referring to the unfortunate incident of a teacher corporal punishment of students in Kurdistan, Pezdikian said: It is very necessary to change the perspective on educational methods and increase supervision. Why should a teacher think that punishment can correct a student? This is a serious alarm.
In another part of his speech, the President addressed the issue of energy imbalance and, pointing to the reason for the government's focus on resolving this national challenge, emphasized: Without a sustainable energy supply, development is meaningless. The problem of industrialists in this field must be solved in order to pave the way for investment.
Pezdikian continued: It is necessary to utilize the capacity of universities to develop renewable energies; In addition to getting rid of dependence on fossil fuels, this will be effective in reducing air pollution and preserving the environment, and will address the concerns of future generations about the depletion of resources.
The President announced the government's daily pursuit of eliminating imbalances and developing clean energies, saying: We have started the change in the type and consumption of energy from the government, and in the first step, the sources of energy supply of the institutions will be changed to renewable energies.
Regarding the development planning of the provinces, Pezizkian said: I have given the Plan and Budget Organization a mission to develop a common and strategic model for the development of the provinces. These programs must be accompanied by preserving the environment, utilizing the capacity of the elite, and studying global experiences.
In the area of people's livelihood, the President spoke of the need for a purposeful social structure and stated: To implement the programs, we need a population, responsible people, and a defined service. Networking should be pursued by forming working groups in the governorates to bring public institutions such as mosques and schools to the fore.
The President once again emphasized the government’s synergistic approach and said: “Our plan has been to create harmony and empathy within the country from the beginning. Our criterion for working in the government is piety; piety means acting without error and serving God, which means serving the people. Our criterion for cooperation is piety, not political, ethnic, or religious affiliation. Instead of excluding others, we will use the potential of all Iranians inside and outside the country.”
The President also addressed the process of indirect negotiations with the United States and said: “Our government has emphasized from the beginning that it seeks to strengthen political, economic, scientific, and cultural relations with other countries, especially Islamic and neighboring countries. We also pursue constructive interaction with other countries based on mutual respect.”
Pezizian clarified: “In negotiations with the United States, we are ready to reach an agreement within the specified framework and while preserving national interests, but if they do not want to negotiate with us from an equal position, we will continue on our path. As the Leader of the Revolution said, we are neither optimistic nor pessimistic.”
The President concluded by saying: “With piety and relying on our own resources, we can build the country. We Iranians are capable people and we never underestimate ourselves.”
Pezizian emphasized: “We are not interested in fighting, but we also do not accept force and bullying. Many of our scientific, cultural, religious and academic elites, who were symbols of morality, compassion and friendship, were assassinated because the enemy does not want capable people to remain in this country so that he can bring any disaster to this nation and its resources.”
