"Abai" was a meticulous and well-known teacher among Quran scholars in the world.

According to Ashura News, citing Mehr News Agency, Hussein Asadi, the head of the regional representation of the Al-Mustafa University in Senegal, issued a message of condolences following the passing of Professor Abdul Rasool Abai.

The text of the message is as follows;

بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم

إِنَّ الَّذِینَ یَتْلُونَ کِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَوةَ وَأَنْفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِیَةً یَرْجُونَ تِجَارَةً لَنْ تَبُورَ لِیُوَفِّیَهُمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَیَزِیدَهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ غَفُورٌ شَکُورٌ.

In the name of Allah, the Merciful

Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish the prayer and spend from what We have provided them secretly and openly seek trade so that they do not become blind. He gave them their reward and increased them with virtue.

The news of the passing of the great master, Hajj Abdul Rasul Aba'i of Karbala, may God be pleased with him, caused deep sorrow. The loss of this valuable figure in the field of Quranic arts and sciences and Arabic language and literature is a great loss that weighs on the hearts of the people of the Quran.

This sincere servant of the Holy Quran, who had traded the capital of his blessed life with his God in the path of spreading the pure Quranic culture and reciting and practicing it, finally flew to his Lord without loss, with honor, dignity and exaltation. His good name, beyond any attachment to the world's golden palace, will remain eternal among the shareholders of the Quranic movement in Islamic Iran - which has now become a blessed and inspiring movement in the world.

Professor Hajj Abdul Rasul Abai was a valuable pioneer in the field of Quran-centered education and research and a meticulous and well-known teacher among the Quran teachers of the Islamic world. With a firm, dignified and influential personality, yet humble, compassionate and benevolent, he always taught his students a happy life under the shadow of the blessed two pillars, both scholars and practitioners, and tried with patience and perseverance to make them constructive and effective elements to serve the Quran and the Islamic society.

Now and in his passing, who has the right of a scientific father to many servants, teachers and Quranic activists, it is appropriate that all of us, the mature students of the Quranic school and at the foot of the Quranic meetings, carefully understand his character and conduct and introduce this lasting legacy to the future generation of the blessed Quranic movement.

May the noble soul of Professor Abdul Rasul Abai benefit from the hopeful guidance of the Great Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, who said:

«معلّمُ القرآن یَستغفِرُ له کلُّ شیئ حتّی الحوتُ فی البَحر» …

"The teacher of the Qur'an forgives everything, even the whale in the sea"...

May the Merciful and Generous God gather him with the fifth generation of the family of the Sayyid al-Shuhada (peace be upon him) and grant patience, happiness, and health to his esteemed family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers; and  إنا لله و إنا إلیه راجعون
