Amir Haidari: Border wall with Afghanistan equipped with modern weapons

According to Ashura News, quoted by Tasnim News Agency, Amir Kiomars Heydari, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, in a press conference held this morning, Sunday, referring to Farvardin 19, Army Day, noted: This day commemorates the decree of our venerable Imam, who invited my comrades in the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran to respect and honor the people.

He also emphasized that the army was present without interruption in the fight against the counter-revolution, and the first slogans of the counter-revolution were also raised against the army.

Amir Heydari continued by recalling the history of the country and said: The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a blessed entity, born from the blessings of the Islamic Revolution and the messiah spirit of the dear Imam, has been able to prove its sovereignty in the fight against the counter-revolution.

He also reminded that the army's fight against the counter-revolution has not ended yet, and in the imposed war, the army immediately appeared at the borders and prevented the spread of the enemy's invasion.

Continuing his press conference, the Army Ground Forces Commander pointed out the importance of the army's victories during the Sacred Defense and its role in defeating the Siege of Abadan, saying: "With the grace of God, and especially the heroic ground forces, our army prevented the enemy from achieving its predetermined goals at the beginning of the Sacred Defense."

Emphasizing the army's leadership, he recalled the Siege of Abadan and added: "This siege was one of the most prominent days of our army's victory. Our great Imam also said that this siege must be broken. After the defeat of the Siege of Abadan, identity card operations began, which showed the army's strength and readiness during the Sacred Defense."

The Army Ground Forces Commander also pointed out the continued presence of the forces after the end of the war, saying: "The ground forces are still deployed in the field and in the highlands of the west, southwest, and northeast of the country to stand against the MKO. From 1975 to 1984, we confronted these threats in oppressive conditions and without media coverage of our activities."

He noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran Army is always ready to serve the nation and maintain the country's security.

Amir Heydari pointed out the importance of the army's victories during the Sacred Defense and its role in defeating the Siege of Abadan, and said: "With the grace of God, and especially the heroic ground force, our army prevented the enemy from achieving its predetermined goals at the beginning of the Sacred Defense."

The commander of the Army Ground Force noted: "Changes have been made in the overall structure of the ground force so that we can move beyond traditional forces and achieve a new structure that is capable of responding to today's challenges."

Amir Heydari continued by pointing out the fundamental changes in the structure and weapons of the ground force, saying: "We have transformed the operational needs of today into a mobile offensive and rapid reaction force. There is no trace of the traditional ground-based units of the past in the mobile offensive ground force."

He added: "This force has 100 percent mobility and 100 percent attack and endurance capability." For this purpose, we need special weapons that cover these two features.

Amir Heydari emphasized: With intelligent planning and in accordance with the Supreme Leader's instructions, new weapons have been introduced to the ground forces, which have four key features instead of old weapons.

The commander of the ground forces continued: The first feature of these weapons is their range, which allows us to reach our targets from a distance. The second is their intelligence. Artificial intelligence and making equipment intelligent are integral commands of the armed forces, especially in the ground forces.

Amir Haidari also pointed to the network capabilities of weapons and said: All our weapons are pinpoint and intelligent and are organized in such a way that they have the ability to be networked and aligned with each other.

He stated: Today, our ground force has an agile, mobile and offensive structure that benefits from intelligent pinpoint and network-oriented weapons.

He noted: With these capabilities, we can, as a strong force in the footsteps of the province, protect the essence of our holy Islamic homeland on land, air and sea and hold any aggressor accountable.

Emphasizing the importance of the province in the armed forces, Amir Haidari said: The spirit of the province and the province-oriented in our warriors is becoming brighter and brighter day by day, thank God. Today, we believe that the mere existence of forces is not effective, but we must be completely obedient to the province.

He added: All our pinpoint, intelligent and networked weapons have either been designed and produced by domestic scientists or have been mass-produced in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense. This is why today, thank God, our country's armed forces are the best supporter of the sacred system of the Islamic Republic in the guise of the province.

The commander of the ground forces continued: This divine power and our joint forces allow us to act with power and authority in various fields. Our dear leader has repeatedly emphasized that we are not an aggressor armed force, nor do we intend to occupy and invade other countries, but we will not allow any evil enemy to invade and invade.

Heydari noted: With the grace and help of God Almighty, we are ready to defend the integrity of our beloved homeland and to be severely responsive to any threat.

Continuing his press conference, the commander of the ground forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army explained the engineering and health capabilities of this force and said: Today, we have very good power in the engineering discussion in the ground forces. Engineering plays a major and fundamental role in war, and fortunately, the engineering of the ground forces has been multiplied to the extent that each group can suffice for the ground forces alone.

He added: We have created five engineering units so that we can utilize this equipment and facilities in the four corners of the country. These units are the first units to come to the aid of the nation in difficult times, such as earthquakes and crises.

Pointing to the importance of paying attention to health and medical matters, the commander of the ground forces said: Army hospitals have a high level of knowledge and experience. During the Corona period, 12 thousand experienced personnel helped the Ministry of Health and Treatment, and we built eight hospitals in this regard. Today, the ground forces have 28 specialized and super-specialized hospitals, of which we have built and renovated five new hospitals in recent years.

Amir Heydari also announced plans to hold a grand parade on April 19 in 24 provinces of the country and said: Our effort is to bring the new achievements and innovations of the children of the army to the attention of the honorable nation. We invite the people to attend this ceremony.

He noted: We will soon unveil special weapons that will be very effective in future wars. We hope that with the presence of our dear commanders, this unveiling will bring joy to the honorable nation.

In another part of his speech about the readiness of this force to face threats, the commander of the Army Ground Forces stated: Relying on our own internal talents, we followed the orders of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, and today we have special weapons to confront threats, and at any scale the enemy tries to make a mistake, it will be targeted accurately and intelligently.

He added: Today, the ground force has a professional and educated manpower, and a large number of soldiers are serving in the army ground force as children of this nation.

Referring to the capabilities of the Nizaja in the missile field, Amir Heydari said: The ground force has 23 categories, meaning that the weapons that exist in the Nizaja must be able to respond to threats. Today, we benefit from missiles that have the ability to hit targets on a ground force scale, and these missiles are also smart and pinpoint.

He continued: "In the field of anti-armor, we are also equipped with weapons that are capable of confronting enemy armored equipment, and these weapons also have advanced technologies such as fire and forget."

Regarding the program to block the country's eastern borders, the commander of the ground forces said: "This program is intended for the common borders with Afghanistan, and it is intended to be implemented at the edge of global technology, and it is not just a four-meter-high wall, but is equipped with various weapons at the edge of global technology. This program is intended for four years, one year of which has passed, and it will be completed in the next three years."

Amir Haidari described drone developments as another part of the force's capabilities, saying: "One of our most effective and superior weapons is drones. Today, we have various long-range and pinpoint drones. We produce various types of drones ourselves, and these types of drones are in the ground forces' weapons basket."

He stated: Artificial intelligence is being exploited as a dominant phenomenon in various fields today. Today, the Army Ground Force is seriously pursuing the issue of artificial intelligence by utilizing knowledge-based companies and good scientists of our country, and we have made good investments in this field. Of course, today, some of our weapons, such as anti-aircraft equipment and drones, are equipped with artificial intelligence.

Regarding holding joint exercises with neighboring countries, the Army Ground Force Commander said: This issue has always been on the Army Ground Force's agenda, and we consider neighboring countries to be our brothers in faith. Last year, we held joint exercises with the Republic of Azerbaijan and Oman, and several exercises with friendly countries are planned this year.

He said: Today, we were able to equip our helicopters with night navigation systems and long-range missiles manufactured by Nizaja, and this year, we will make a major investment in missile shafts, navigation systems, and the production of helicopter parts to double the production volume.
