The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced: International Quds Day is a symbol of the unity of the Islamic nation and resistance against occupation and human rights violations, and a great test for the awakened consciences of the world.
According to Ashura News, citing Tasnim, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement on the eve of Quds Day: "With the passing of 47 years since the miraculous and strategic initiative of the great architect of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), in naming the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as "International Quds Day" in 1979, and the intelligent and authoritative leadership of the movement supporting Palestine and the cause of the liberation of the holy Quds by his righteous successor, Imam Khamenei (may Allah protect him) over the past 36 years, today the issue of Palestine has become more than an Islamic and Arab issue, but a global issue."
The statement adds: Now, especially after the historic and amazing operation "Al-Aqsa Storm" and the subsequent brutal and racist crimes of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza, the ideal of "liberating Jerusalem" and liberating the oppressed Palestinian people has clearly affected the geography under the control of the hegemonic powers beyond the borders of the Islamic world and, by bringing together other rights-seeking and freedom-seeking nations, has nullified the evil dream of America and the Zionist regime to dominate the Islamic countries of the region.
The statement of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps continued: We thank God Almighty that after 18 months of the crimes of the evil Zionist regime against the people of Gaza and other occupied areas in usurped Palestine, which have been unprecedented and unparalleled in the history of the seventy-plus years of occupation, today the Zionist criminal gang is disillusioned and helpless due to the strategic failure in Operation Storm of Al-Aqsa and the failure to achieve its sinister military goals, feeling humiliated and defeated in accepting a ceasefire in an unbalanced deadlock, merely witnessing the global credibility and prestige of Hamas and the vitality of the legendary resistance movement on the one hand, and the instability and fragility of Zionist society on the other.
Continuing with this statement, by honoring the memory, names, memories, ideals and historical and civilizational epics of the martyrs of the resistance and the path to the liberation of Quds, especially the martyrs "Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, Seyyed Hashem Safi al-Din and the Iranian generals, martyrs Hajj Qassem Soleimani, Mohammad Reza Zahedi and Abbas Neelforoshan, it emphasized: International Quds Day is a symbol of the unity of the Islamic nation and resistance against occupation and human rights violations, and a great test for the awakened consciences of the world.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps continued with this statement, reminding: By the grace of God, the noble and great nation of Iran is together with and in step with all the right-seeking and freedom-seeking nations of the world by participating enthusiastically and widely in the International Quds Day march, condemning the war crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and occupied Palestine, and denouncing the deadly and humiliating silence of the international communities that have pulled the mask of human rights claims over their black faces.
The statement noted: Its glorious and unwavering support for the Islamic resistance Palestine and the oppressed and powerful people of Gaza have crystallized and are loudly announcing to the world that the future engineering of the West Asian region, contrary to what is being dreamed up in Washington and Tel Aviv, will be determined by the will of the resistance and those educated in the school of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the heirs of the martyrs of Quds. In this sacred path, Iran and Iranians stand alongside them at the height of power and honor.
